Our research contributes to answer basic questions such as: Are public initiatives to connect homes and classrooms an effective development investment? Assuming that ICT adoption has positive economic and social impacts, are these benefits being appropriated by individuals at the bottom of the income pyramid? Can the Internet help address the key development challenges and in particular, help alleviate poverty in the long run?
