DIRSI: 10 years creating and disseminating knowledge to improve public policies on information society in Latin America

In June 2005, the first DIRSI meeting establish that its mission is to generate knowledge and stimulate the discussion needed to develop appropriate policies to promote poor and marginalized communities to participate at information economies an societies.The key areas of interest to DIRSI are Access at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP), ICT Regulation and Policies, Affordability of ICT services, and ICT Impact Evaluation. In the present cycle (2014-15) the focus is on new information networks and the social inclusion of women and youth in Latin America.

We have now 10 years researching, publishing, training young researchers and making incidence. We will come soon with information about our next steps.
