Abstract

This study has two specific orientations. On the other, it analyzes the relationship between the use of mobile telephony and the educational level attained by these individuals.

After exploring these issues, it presents a number of recommendations for the promotion of state policies and programmes aimed at the systematic adoption of ICTs in the region, combined with investments in human resources, as ameans of raising productivity and income in the productive and commercial sectors, which account for the bulk of activity in the kind of market under study.
